2. Google API Services Usage Disclosure

Our application integrates with Google Calendar to automatically generate Google Meet links for scheduled classes. If you are an instructor connecting your Google account to our platform, please note the following regarding your data:

  • Data Accessed: We request access to the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events scope solely to insert new calendar events for your scheduled classes.
  • Data Use: This access is used strictly to automatically create class events with attached Google Meet video conferencing links. We do not read, delete, or modify your existing personal calendar events.
  • Data Storage: We do not store your calendar events or any personal calendar data on our servers. We only store the securely generated OAuth refresh tokens to maintain the connection, and the generated Google Meet link URLs to share with your students.
  • Data Sharing: We do not share, sell, or transfer your Google user data to any third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
  • Data Retention and Deletion: We retain your securely encrypted Google OAuth tokens only for as long as your account is active and the calendar integration is enabled. If you choose to disconnect your Google account or delete your profile on our platform, all associated Google OAuth tokens and related Google user data are immediately and permanently deleted from our servers. You may also revoke access at any time via your Google Account Security settings.

Learn Tajweed Online's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the platform. This includes:

  • Personal Info: Names, email addresses, phone numbers, and country of residence.
  • Account Data: Usernames, passwords, and related authentication credentials.
  • Student Data: Age, preferred learning times, course progress, and progress reports.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information collected to facilitate account creation, provide our tutoring services, communicate with you regarding classes, process fee invoices, and ensure the safety and security of our platform.

5. Information Sharing

We only share information with authorized instructors assigned to students to facilitate the learning process. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, or a judicial proceeding.

6. Data Security

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process, including secure authentication via Google Firebase. However, despite our safeguards, no electronic transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
